Do not approach, trap, injure, or move the snake. From a safe distance, watch where it goes so it can be found when help arrives.

Safety first

Give the snake space—and give us a call.

Rattlesnakes are venomous wild animals. Improvised tools such as brooms, shovels, buckets, and sticks can bring you within striking distance and increase the risk to everyone involved.

Conservation through relocation

Every snake has an important role.

Too often, snakes are run over, struck with shovels, or killed simply because they are feared. Native snakes help control rodents and contribute to the balance of Northern Arizona’s ecosystem.

There is usually a better alternative. Safe relocation protects your household, your neighborhood, and the animal.

Why no charge?

Money should not decide whether a snake lives.

When removal cost becomes a concern, people may try to handle or kill the animal themselves. SnakeSave does not charge for relocation so cost is not a deterrent to making the safer choice.

Donations are welcome and help support the work, but the primary focus is always the safe rescue and relocation of the animal.

About SnakeSave

A family tradition of caring for reptiles.

SnakeSave is a family-owned and operated rescue and relocation service created from generations of snake wranglers, wildlife enthusiasts, and people who care deeply about reptiles and amphibians.

Education and conservation are at the heart of the work. Although native venomous snakes are the primary relocation focus, all snakes, reptiles, and amphibians matter to us.

Hands-on experience with many species and behaviors has helped keep our neighbors safe and—most importantly—keep the animals safe throughout the years.
